This is a furnished studio apartment just off the Penn campus that you could move into immediately.
Here are its amenities:
-Kitchen with oven, stove, refrigerator, and microwave
-Well-made table for eating or working, plus three padded chairs
-Living room with couch (that turns into a bed), carpet, coffee table, and TV (which includes a DVD and VHS player – yeah, LOL at the VHS)
-Two closets (three, once I move my remaining stuff out of the third, which is the smallest one)
-Private bathroom with bathtub and shower
-Cable/wifi ready with cables already in place
-Multiple laundry machines on floor
-Beautiful lobby that features Beiler’s Donuts
-A few small things that you would not need to buy (e.g. shower curtains, paper towels, toilet paper, hangers, dish soap)
Many of the things I just mentioned do not come standard with the room – if you don’t want them, I can take them away. (The TV is an obvious one, LOL.) This apartment can be as furnished as you want it to be.
The room is conveniently located on 39th Street between Sansom and Chestnut, making it easy to get to the Penn campus, restaurants, bars, a supermarket, and the 40th Street Station SEPTA stop to get into Center City.
I’m open to lease terms of any duration from now until May 25th, and feel free to negotiate on the price. Call or text (201) 956-5924 if you’re interested!
For some context, I just unexpectedly got a job away from Philly, leaving me with a lease from now until May 25th on this apartment that I unfortunately must leave. You could also talk with the building about extending the lease if you like, and we can even talk about keeping my stuff in the room if you actually want some of it.

While thousands of people have successfully used Pennlets to rent out a place or find a place to sublet, like anywhere on the web, there can sometimes be unscrupulous people trying to scam unsuspecting users. Beware of anyone asking you for an unusual financial transaction. Here's one that's been reported to us several times: someone agrees to rent your place and sends you a check or money order for too much money as a "mistake," and then asks you to write a check for the "extra" amount back to them or to a third party. DON'T FALL FOR IT! Cash the check or money order and verify with your bank that the funds have cleared before you issue a refund or take any further action with your renter.
